Pilates

Sophie has always made fitness an essential part of her life and has continuously incorporated it into her training routine. While studying at The Hammond, she had the opportunity to take her Matwork Level 1 Michael King Pilates Exam and is now a qualified instructor. Pilates offers many benefits, including general fitness and rehabilitation from injuries and health issues.

During the lockdown, Sophie began teaching 1:1 and group Pilates classes, which provided a sense of community to everyone involved during the challenging times. She takes great pleasure in seeing clients benefit and improve through the core exercises.

Fitness

Sophie is passionate about the importance of moving your body daily, not only for physical health but also for mental health. At The Hammond, she trained as a Zumba instructor and gained knowledge of core dance movements and exercises to create her own fitness class called Drum Fit!

Drum Fit Classes

Drum Fit is a high-energy fitness class that blends Zumba, dance, music from all eras, various dance styles, themes, and drumsticks! During the class, we focus on toning and strengthening all parts of the body while also incorporating dynamic and rhythmic movements with drumsticks.Sophie now offers a weekly Drum Fit Class for the staff at a school where she works, and evening classes are also available in Burghfield.
